Astrosophy: A Brief OverviewWe differentiate between:
** Astronomy concerns itself with the description of the body of Sophia, astrology concerns itself with her local movements, and astrosophy concerns itself with the heart and mind of Sophia her intentions for our life on this earth, why we are on this planet. Conventional astrology concerns itself with the very important questions of life, local in time and space, such as the appropriateness of a new boyfriend or the right timing of a new job. Astrosophy concerns itself with the thrust of the entire life, and is very interested in the birth time (as is astrology), and also in the time of conception, when the first spirit spark came into the physical receptacle of the mothers womb. Astrosophy is interested in world epochs, the destiny of nations, the archangels for different geographical areas, paths of reincarnation. Astrosophy works primarily with star placements (what we call the sidereal or star-based zodiac, explained elsewhere on this site, and explained most clearly in our Foundations course). Astrosophy works with geocentric views (seen from the Earth), as well as heliocentric (seen from the Sun), and hermetic (seen from both places at once). The StarFire Research Group uses all three modes of star knowledge, astronomy, astrology, and astrosophy in its research and consultations. Conventional astrology comes alive when it is referred to and founded on astrosophy. |
