- "Astrosophy" comes
from the Greek words, astro, meaning star, and Sophia,
the principle and being of divine wisdom….
thus Star Wisdom.
The source of Star Wisdom is ancient but it is a
new astrology because it reintroduces the original
system of Zarathustra as taught to Pythagoras and
Hermes, transformed by modern scientific research
to make a new and deeper form of astrology.
- Star Wisdom is a return to
a direct experience of the heavens and the wisdom
they hold.
In Star Wisdom, we perceive ourselves as part of
the whole of the earth, bathed in the celestial
light of the stars, and affected by these subtle
and powerful qualities. In Star Wisdom we search
out ways that we can test our ideas through personal
experience.
- Star Wisdom makes use of a
star-based system called sidereal astrology.
Rather than using the more commonly known planet-based
system, tropical astrology, the sidereal system
uses the actual astronomical locations which agree
with how the ancient astrologers saw the sky.
- Star Wisdom's star based
approach allows us 'catch' the opportunities available
to you.
Star Wisdom sees all phenomena against the backdrop
of the whole heavens allowing greater insight into
our history and guidance for current times. The
emphasis of Star Wisdom-Astrosophy is on the soul
purpose and connection to the opportunities the
heavens offer during your life. Star Wisdom-Astrosophy
puts less attention on the more mundane life questions
of the moment like: when will I marry? Who will
I marry? Or, is now a good time to move or change
jobs?
However it is very interested in the moment of your
conception, when the spark of spirit entered the
physical world. From that moment until your birth,
many aspects of your life are prefigured - Not predetermined
or set in stone, but as opportunities that you will
encounter. It's helpful to know who's playing before
an event occurs. No one can tell what will happen
when a fated meeting occurs, but we can warn you
to be ready for it. That can be very helpful!
- Yes, Zarathustra's system
has been found again and this makes it new!
Zarathustra's school advocated the forming a direct
relationship to the living powers of the cosmos
which used the sidereal system. Robert Powell, world
renowned Astrosophy expert and member of the StarFire
research group, shows that the long-lost sidereal
system was the system originally intended by Ptolemy.
Ptolemy's findings together with the insights of
the philosopher Rudolf Steiner, show us there exist
a deep connection with the living beings of the
heavens.
